My name is Tish Alexander. I’ve worked in the non-profit sector most of my career, specifically the performing arts and in higher education. I realized that I’ve been practicing forms of clear, concise, and consistent communication in most of my work to date, from stage managing and directing theatre to writing courses for technicians. This realization guided me in my decision to enroll in the University of North Texas’ Technical Communication graduate program so I can learn how to improve my communication skills and learn some new ones. The goal of good technical communication is simple, and I believe wholeheartedly that when we make things easier to understand, we can accomplish our goals more efficiently. My motto is let’s Struggle Less, and Do More.
